Mark Lawes served in the U.S. Air Force and knows firsthand the meaning of
‘Protecting and Serving’ our community. He is a husband and the father of four sons
who work in law enforcement (Two State Troopers and Two NOPD officers) and one
daughter in education. Mark Lawes is a proud resident of ‘District D’ and is the definition
of a True Community Servant.
Mark is a community advocate and he is also a business owner of Half Shell on the
Bayou, a restaurant, which employs members of our community. During the pandemic
he provided meals to our impacted residents and continues to provide meals to those in
Along with his community and economic impact, Mark is also known as a ‘Problem
Solver’. Whether it is assisting residents with navigating the city’s licensing and
permitting process to assisting with neighborhood issues, Mark is always there and
willing to assist until the issues are resolved.
Mark understands the many needs of ‘District D’ and realizes the need to listen and
work with the residents of our community to improve the quality of life for all. Mark is
dedicated, passionate and hard-working and would love the opportunity to serve New
Orleans ‘District D’.
